INTERNATIONAL MEDIA SENSATION ARIANNA PAPALEXOPOULOS TO HOST
SAN FRANCISCO (March 19, 2026) — Nationally acclaimed Greek American musician Angeline Saris will be presented the coveted “Spotlight Award” by the Elios Charitable Foundation at the upcoming inaugural Hellenic Social Club benefit, set for Saturday April 25 at the iconic Bimbo’s 365 Club located in the heart of San Francisco’s North Beach, 1025 Columbus Avenue.
The vibrant evening celebrating Greek heritage, philanthropy and community will be hosted by international media sensation, Greek American actress, digital content producer, and comedian – with one million collective followers across all her platforms – Arianna Papalexopoulos.
Angeline Saris is a renowned and highly sought-after bass player, songwriter, and educator whose career highlights include touring with Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Famer Todd Rundgren and guitar virtuoso Adrian Belew on the 2022 Celebration of Bowie Tour; with Grammy Award-winning producer and drummer Narada Michael Walden; jazz-ska-reggae legend Ernest Ranglin; and the all-female Zeppelin tribute band, Zepparella. Most recently, she appeared on Carlos Santana’s new album Sentient and joined Jerry Garcia Band’s organist Melvin Seals with the Jason Crosby Collective.
Born in Palo Alto and raised in Marin, Saris, whose paternal Greek heritage hails from Crete and Sparta, has been featured in several publications, including Bass Player magazine and Guitar Girl magazine, and has appeared on the cover of Bass Musician and Bass Quarterly magazines. When not out performing or in the studio recording, Saris works as an educator and has taught at the Warwick Bass Camp in Germany, the National Guitar Workshop, as a demonstrator for Hal Leonard educational material, and as a private local instructor.
Conceived as a fresh and spirited affair, The Hellenic Social Club brings together Greek Americans, Philhellenes, and cultural and civic leaders across Northern California for an unforgettable night of fine dining, live music, and dancing—all in support of the Elios Charitable Foundation’s enduring mission to advance Hellenic culture, education, and philanthropy.
“This year’s Hellenic Social Club represents an exciting new chapter for the Elios Charitable Foundation,” said John Gumas, Foundation President and Chair. “We are absolutely thrilled to introduce this event as a new way of bringing together Greek Americans and fellow Hellenes in support of the distinguished nonprofit organizations we champion—those that promote and preserve Hellenic culture throughout California and the greater Greek community.”
The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a welcome cocktail reception, followed by a seated dinner at 7 p.m. The formal program starts at 8:30 p.m., leading into dancing at 9 p.m. The doors will open at 9.30 p.m. for a younger crowd, age 21 and up, to join the revelry. The popular and multi award-winning Eleven-Eleven Winery, the all women-owned Napa winery, will be the exclusive wine purveyor for the evening. Guests are encouraged to dress in festive cocktail attire for what promises to be a lively and glamorous night.
Musical entertainment will feature a show-stopping live performance by legendary Emmy and multi- Grammy-winning artist Narada Michael Walden and his 8-piece band, bringing electrifying energy to the historic North Beach venue. The performance will now feature Angeline Saris, who will join Narada and his musicians, to perform three of her original songs. Celebrated Bay Area singer/songwriter Paul Psarras and in-demand DJ G-Stav will add yet another level to the energetic Greek dancing and music.
The Hellenic Social Club is co-chaired by Frosene Phillips and Anthony Saris, whose leadership and vision have helped shape the event as a celebration of culture, generosity, and social connection. The Spotlight Award was conceived as recognition and encouragement of Greek American artists who are emerging and next generation leaders in their field. Past recipients have included Constantine Maroulis, Ariana Savalas, Constantine Stamatiou, and Christopher André Marks.
